SOME Class Suggestions

New to Sewing: Create an excellent collection of garment construction samples for your reference, so you can sew independently

with ease.

New to Pattern Making: Develop your skills using third scale blocks, to create a comprehensive reference for your future use.

Repurpose: Change a vintage or contemporary garment to create your desired effect.

Measuring, Fitting and Alterations:  These classes require you to have a model, so bring along a friend or family member.

Learn how to take an extensive array of accurate body measurements, alter basic bodice, sleeve and skirt pattern blocks to those

measurements, use the blocks to cut out and make up a calico toile and acquire fitting skills by fitting the toile on your model. Learn how to

transfer the alterations to create a new set of blocks and your model will have made to measure blocks to fit. These can be used as a basis for

pattern making to a design.

own dressmakers form and would like to pad it up to your body shape, I can take a full set of your measurements for you to achieve this.

material. Learn about the construction, undergarments and typical pattern shapes to create the definitive silhouettes of the era. Other eras are

available .... just ask.

Appliqué: Appliqué is fun, creative and can be used in a variety of ways. Learn how it can be related to clothing, costume and

accessory construction.
